Both of these dogs are very calm and biddable but hunt with joy and enthusiasm. This breeding is aimed at producing dogs that have sound
temperaments, very good cooperation, staunch points, good conformation and a strong hunting drive. Puppies from this union should inherit
excellent instincts to search, point, retrieve, track, and swim.
Our Hunting Hills’ puppies are introduced to field, water and bird work. They receive personal attention from our family members and our pups
are well adjusted to both people and other dogs by the time they go to their new homes.
Our dogs are NAVHDA registered and tested, SMCNA registered and Approved for Breeding, and are proven hunters. Buyers should be avid
hunters and willing to NAVHDA test their pup. A health warranty will be provided. $100 deposits are being accepted and will be applied to the
$1000 purchase price for a female or $800 purchase price for a male.

The Transitional Stage | 2-3 Weeks
The Transitional stage generally lasts from age two to three weeks, and it’s during this time that your puppy’s eyes will open, and he’ll slowly start to
respond to light and movement and sounds around him. He’ll become a little more mobile during this period, trying to get his feet underneath him and
crawling around in the box (or wherever home is.) He’ll start to recognize mom and his litter mates, and any objects you might place in the box. Click

The puppy's ear canals will open right around the 2 week mark, allowing it to hear sounds for the first time. The sense of hearing will fully develop over
the course of the next few stages. Socialization is important at every stage of a puppy's life, but is perhaps most important during the neonatal period. The
puppy will be learning the basics from its mother and litter mates; movement, social etiquette, and most important of all: rules, boundaries, and limitations!

The Neonatal period | Birth -2 Weeks
The Neonatal period lasts from birth to two weeks. The puppy can't hear or see well, stays close to mother and litter mates. For most of this stage, the
puppy is entirely dependent on its mother. In addition to their sensory handicap after birth, their movement is severely limited, they cannot regulate
their own body temperature, and they require special stimulation to remove waste products. They can, however, cry, and the suck reflex is already
strong. Smell, touch, and taste are all active and strong. Within the first week after birth, a puppy will normally double its own weight. Click HERE for
